eJMT Abstract

MuPAD is a modern, general-purpose, Computer Algebra System. It has a number of features that make it particularly suitable for teaching mathematics and experimenting with mathematical concepts. In this paper we will describe briefly origins of MuPAD, its history, and we will demonstrate some of its features. We will concentrate on a few selected aspects of using MuPAD in the classroom and on the development of teaching materials for use in mathematics classes.
