eJMT Abstract

Creating problems that demonstrate the power and relevance of mathematics has always been a time consuming challenge. Here we demonstrate that the development of such problems can be efficiently aided with the use of video sharing websites, which require students to extract their own data to understand and solve problems based on popular culture.
