The purpose of the RU²inIT program is designed to encourage Radford University Information Technology undergraduate students to become involved in research. The faculty and students involved in RU²inIT agree that a positive research experience is considered to be one of the most effective avenues for attracting and retaining talented undergraduate students in careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Research is one of the most valuable programs that a student can participate in during their undergraduate education.

It shows you're someone who fits into the above categories and has experience working on real projects that make contributions to the world of computer science. Students who have worked on undergraduate research at Radford University have gone on to work at top companies like Microsoft, CGI and Lockheed Martin, and to school at top graduate institutions like Virginia Tech, Penn State, and University of Maryland.
