THE TRANSATLANTIC TEACHER SCHOLARS PROGRAMME
In 2012 ten Virginia teachers worked side-by-side with a cohort of teachers from schools around the United Kingdom to study the global context of World War I and World War II. With funding support by the VGA, U.S. Embassy in London and the National Archives of Britain, these two groups collaborated in a series of long-distance learning activities, including working with university scholars and professional archives to create meaningful classroom curriculum in the topic. Each teacher created lesson set was evaluated and considered for publication through our website. Below are resources from this experience that are available for download and use in your classroom or professional development. These include podcasts, scholar-reviewed resources, and ready to use classroom activities
