The National Geographic State Giant Traveling Map (SGTM) of Virginia debuted in 2016. We now have four copies to lend to schools. This is primarily a political map and is accompanied by a trunk of items, including lesson plans, to use with the map.
Maps and trunks are currently held in Charlottesville, Farmville, and Northern Virginia. It is hoped that by the end of 2019 sets will also be available in the Roanoke area and in Tidewater.
