Hungry Mother State Park will section off the park and then each of these segments will be covered by an expert and his/her volunteers recording everything they can find in their field of specialty, i.e. trees, salamanders, insects, etc.  When citizen scientists finish with one segment they will move to another segment of the park concentrating on their specialty only.  We will continue this for 24 hours recording as much of the area as we can.  Hungry Mother State Park Bio Blitz will begin at sunrise, approximately 6:40 a.m., on 23 April 2016.  We hope to meet around 5:30 and everyone be in place around 6:30.

More information can be found by visiting the Virginia Geographic Alliance’s registration site (http://tinyurl.com/VGABioBlitz2016) or contacting the park representatives.
