An Electronic Field Trip, The Will of the People, is free for the entire month of September to registered participants. This Field Trip explores the contentious presidential election of 1800 and provides an opportunity to compare past to present. Thomas Jefferson explains how negative campaigning and partisan politics have been a part of our political system since the earliest days of the republic.
