The School for Professional Studies at Elmhurst College, in partnership with the National Council for Geographic Education, will offer a first-of-its kind, entirely online, graduate certificate program in Advanced Placement Human Geography (APHG) beginning in June. Designed specifically for secondary educators, the APHG program teaches the participants how to create an engaging and progressive learning environment for their students. Additionally, three courses in the area of spatial concepts and thinking will be open to online students from any discipline.
Elmhurst College’s AP Human Geography Graduate Certificate Program is the first online program in the country that is geared specifically toward teaching AP Human Geography and that also offers graduate credit. The entire program is offered online, through eight-week courses, and can be completed in less than a year.
