Penny Anderson has lesson plan published in NCGE’s “The Geography Teacher”

Our very own @GeoPenny, aka Penny Anderson, has a lesson plan published in the most recent issue of the NCGE magazine, “The Geography Teacher.”  If you have a subscription to Taylor & Francis Online, you may view the entire lesson, “Comparing Land Use Patterns” at  http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/19338341.2014.898210.

The purpose of this lesson is to allow students to identify and compare different modifications of land use in the developed and developing worlds. This lesson addresses human environment interaction as one of the themes of geography. The activity gives students the opportunity to practice observation and ask geographic questions. This lesson is useful as a follow-up to economic activity levels or as a comparison to natural landscapes.

Three cheers for Penny as she continues to inspire and promote GeoLiteracy!
