T3G began in 2009 as a one-week residential hands-on institute, helping educators (in K12, higher ed, and informal settings) grasp why and how to use GIS for instruction. Technology evolved, resources grew, and a lively professional community built up. Now, with many good resources for self-instruction, and time ever more precious, the T3G annual event is two synchronous interactive online sessions of 4 hours each. Through the year, T3Gers stay in touch with each other, sharing ideas and strategies, making a difference in the world.
